This module covers spirit inspired mask making that can be used to create a mask-like drawings intended to enhance and amplify the innate qualities of seeker. Highlighting a potential way of being that will benefit them at the time of the reading.
A spirit inspired mask can appear as a face mask, headdress or simple drawing that captures the energy of its purpose or intent.
The idea of a holy man increasing his energy through a headdress is evident throughout history as well as in modern times. Nothing says 'person of importance' more than an extravagant hat!
African masks are often used in religious and social events to represent the spirits of ancestors or in an attempt to control and balance the good and evil forces in the community.
Also we see evidence of medicine men intending to embody the powerful energy of their totem animals using masks and headdress adorned with parts of the animals or birds such as feathers, fur, teeth or bones.
In place of using animal body parts, which is thought of as inhumane in modern society, we can draw masks created with intentions in order to build energy. Energy art contains the energy of a subject we choose to focus on, as previously explained in Module Four Part 3.
Please watch the video and then practice making a mask for yourself and when you are ready for 3 case studies.
